Printer Alignment Test - Measure Scale, Rotation & Offset
Use this test when the whole printed layout looks shifted, rotated or resized. It measures the printed reference frame against the paper frame rather than judging alignment from a camera angle alone.
Before measuring: print the official sheet at 100% / Actual Size. If you knowingly used Fit to Page, reprint before treating the result as a printer fault.
What the geometry zone contains
The template includes fixed crosshairs, horizontal and vertical references and a 100 mm scale line. Four corner markers help map the photographed sheet back into paper coordinates before scale, rotation and offset are calculated.
What the result means
| Result | Interpretation |

| Scale differs from 100% | First rule out print-dialog scaling. The analyzer separately flags a pattern consistent with uniform Fit-to-Page-style reduction. |
| X and Y scale differ | The print is being scaled non-uniformly; reprint with scaling disabled before making a hardware conclusion. |
| Rotation or offset | This is a measured page-relative displacement, not proof of a specific mechanical failure. |
Camera perspective is handled separately
The analyzer first detects the paper and rectifies the photograph. The printed markers are then evaluated relative to that paper frame. A tilted phone should therefore not automatically become a printer-rotation result; low-quality captures can instead be rejected.
