color printer test page
Color Printer Test Page - CMYK, Banding & Line Continuity
Use a controlled color test when a print looks faded, striped, incomplete or unbalanced.
Fast path: print the standardized sheet, photograph the complete page, and let the browser measure the known test zones.
What the CMYK areas do
The sheet separates cyan, magenta, yellow and black so a grossly weak or missing channel is easier to isolate.
Not a color-calibration chart
A phone camera is not a spectrophotometer. Printer Vitals only classifies large relative channel reductions and does not report Delta E or ICC accuracy.
Measure instead of guessing
The optional photo analyzer cross-checks channel-health fields with the line patterns before suggesting a likely channel issue.
How to run the test
- Print the official sheet at 100% / Actual Size, Color, Plain Paper, Normal quality.
- Place the full sheet on a dark surface in even light.
- Take a sharp photo with all four paper edges visible.
- Upload it to the browser analyzer.
- Make one conservative change, then retest using the same settings.
Scope: Printer Vitals is optimized for color inkjet output. Results are measurements plus probable causes, not a guarantee of the exact failed component.
